First Impressions: Diving into this Fall’s Most Exciting Anime

Today on my blog, I am beyond excited to share with you my first impressions on four new anime that have just made their debut this fall season! 🍁 I’ve taken a sneak peek at the first episodes (don’t worry, I’ll try not to spoil it for you!) and I’m here to spill the tea on what I think about them. Let’s dive right in! 🏊‍♂️✨

And for those who prefere a video, I got you 😉

1. 16 Bit Sensation

Step into a world where the past meets the present! Our main character (MC), a talented illustrator for bishojo games, finds herself time-traveling from 2023 to 1992. 🌀 She bumps into a guy who just made a wish upon a star for a break from bishojo games, which ironically, are her favorite! 🎮

My Opinion:

I find the main character in “16 Bit Sensation” absolutely adorable 😍, and I am quite intrigued to learn more about the granny and Bibi’s store. The fact that the anime has a female lead is a big plus for me 👩‍🎤, and I am definitely looking forward to watching more episodes to see how the story develops 📺.

2. A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special

In the year 3616, a team of adventurers has been battling the shadow world for a whole decade. 🛡️ After defeating a dragon and saving the world, the MC, Desir Arman, finds himself back in time, surrounded by potential students aiming to enter the prestigious Abrion Academy. 🏫

My Opinion:

“A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special” left a strong impression on me, and I am eagerly anticipating the next episode 🌟. I find the concept of the main character, Desir Arman, going back in time to change the future particularly engaging 🕰️. I am curious to see if the series will take a “Groundhog Day” approach, giving him multiple chances to alter the outcome, or if this is his only opportunity to make things right 🔄.

3. My New Boss is Goofy

After leaving an abusive job, our MC finds a fresh start with a new, kind-hearted (and sometimes adorably ditzy) boss. 🌼 However, he’s still dealing with PTSD from his previous job, but it’s clear this new environment is a much-needed change.

My Opinion:

I absolutely love “My New Boss is Goofy”! It’s such a cute anime 🌸 that I can see myself watching indefinitely. It’s particularly great for those who have experienced working in a toxic environment, as they may be able to relate to the main character’s previous job experience. Furthermore, the anime falls under the Iyashikei sub-genre, providing a peaceful and comforting 🍵 viewing experience. This seems like it will be my fall favorite and I’m so excited to continue watching.

4. Butareba -The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig

A college student and total nerd finds himself in a bit of a pickle – he’s turned into a pig and ended up in a pigpen! 🐷 After eating some bad pig liver, he seems to have met an unfortunate end, only to be discovered by a farm girl who realizes his human soul is still intact. She can even hear his thoughts!

My Opinion:

“Butareba - The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig” offers a humorous take on the isekai genre 😂, though it comes off as pervy at times since the farm girl can hear all of the main character’s risqué thoughts 🐷. While it’s a calmer and more laid-back isekai, I am interested in seeing how they will explore the pig reincarnation storyline, even if it might not become my top anime of the season 📜.

🌟 And there you have it, folks! Four new anime to add to your watchlist this fall. If I had to rank these anime from the anime that I am most excited to continue to least it would be:

  1. My New Boss is Goofy
  2. 16 Bit Sensation
  3. A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special
  4. Butareba -The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig

Whether you’re in the mood for a bit of time travel, a second chance at life, a healing story, or a good laugh, there’s something here for everyone! Happy watching, and stay tuned for more anime updates! 📺✨
